I'm a poet and designer living in Kansas City with my wife Carly and our dog Wrinn. I've spent over a decade solving complex problems with clear, intuitive tools. In short, I use design to help people make sense of the world.

Making sense of the world for myself has often taken the backseat. But through writing, poetry, therapy, and deep introspection, I've found something critical to my well-being:

Creativity is how I heal.

Since 2021, when I brought writing back into my life, I've been living inside that loop — feeling the pain, reaching for creativity, finding healing. Again and again. For a long time, that work stayed mostly private. This website is an exercise in finally prioritizing it, and sharing the process so that others might find healing of their own.

What This Place Is

I think of this website as a digital garden. It's a space I tend regularly, where my ideas can bloom, gradually over time. Here, my creativity grows uninhibited, like wildflowers alongside the busy highway of the internet.

Most of the web rushes past at 75 miles per hour.
Urgent.
Optimized.
Competing for attention.

But wildflowers don't compete. They just grow where they are, adding beauty to the margins, catching the eye of anyone willing to slow down and notice.

That's my aim: to plant things worth noticing.

Poems about chaos and beauty. Reflections on creativity, design, and the mind. Photographs from trails, coffee shops, and still moments. A book in progress. Fragments of writing that don’t fit anywhere else.

This is a place to wander and pay attention. It will keep evolving as I experiment with new forms.
